Girls Support

We believe that for girls to succeed, their basic needs must be met. Girls Support addresses economic and social barriers that hinder education and well-being.

Key Initiatives

Comfy Periods

Menstrual kits and health education to combat period poverty, reduce absenteeism, and boost dignity.

Mwezeshe Msichana

Scholastic and personal supplies (soap, pens, uniforms, notebooks) for girls from low-income families.

Enlightened Boys Club

A program for boys promoting positive masculinity, gender justice, and academic focus. Boys are engaged as allies in girls’ empowerment.

Community Outreach (Jamii Yetu)

Parent and community leader engagement to address harmful practices like early marriage and FGM, and promote positive parenting and girls’ education.

Founded in 2014, Empowered Girls equips rural girls with life skills, mentorship, and community support. Our team is made up of former program participants who now lead the way forward.
